Pete Sandona, LMHCA
Pete Sandona, therapist
Hello, I’m Pete. I’m a licensed associate therapist and a lifelong observer of change—both the kind that happens to us and the kind we intentionally seek. Originally from the Midwest, I’ve found a long-term home in the Pacific Northwest, where I’m continually inspired by the wildness of the mountains, oceans, and forests. Outside of my work as a therapist, I’m a musician who plays bass and guitar, a nature lover, and a devoted dog parent to three pups who sometimes join us in sessions. I believe in the healing power of humor, creativity, and being present for life’s quiet moments. I’ve always been drawn to how people grow through challenge and how transformation often begins in uncertainty. Therapy, for me, is a collaborative process rooted in curiosity, compassion, and the belief that every person has an innate ability to change, heal, and thrive. I work with clients to explore the patterns that shape their lives, develop emotional resilience, and open up new possibilities. Whether you’re navigating a life transition, feeling stuck in familiar pain, or simply wanting to know yourself more fully, I offer a grounded, supportive space to do that work. I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology and have a strong foundation in working with adolescents, young adults, couples, and families. I have particular interest in identity development, relationship dynamics, emotional regulation, and navigating the stress of modern life. In therapy, I don’t pretend to have all the answers—instead, I ask thoughtful questions, help illuminate what’s already within you, and offer perspective when needed. My style is collaborative and adaptive, honoring that each person’s path is unique. I value deep listening and authentic connection, and I strive to create a space where you feel seen, safe, and heard. Clients have described me as kind, insightful, and grounding. I aim to show up with presence and integrity in every session, and to meet each person with respect for their story and their pace. Therapy isn’t always easy, but it can be one of the most rewarding and meaningful journeys we take. My role is to walk beside you—not as an expert on your life, but as a steady companion as you explore what healing and growth mean for you. If you’re seeking support—for yourself, your relationship, or your family—I welcome the opportunity to connect. I’d be honored to be part of your path toward greater clarity, connection, and well-being.
